With Facebook Messenger, You Can Now Send And Receive Money Via PayPal

Facebook Messenger now lets you ‘send’ as well as ‘receive’ money with your PayPal account as it now supports PayPal transactions.

Before this development, Messenger only supports transactions via debit cards but this update brings PayPal to the line. We all know that PayPal is one of the most accepted payment platform globally although they restricted some countries (including Nigeria) from receiving funds from it.

With this new feature, you will get payment notifications delivered to you within the Messenger app once a transaction is done.
Unfortunately, this feature is currently only available in the United States of America and we hope it will spread across other countries in short time (including Nigeria).
“This collaboration continues to showcase our march to be a customer champion,” said Bill Ready, EVP, Chief Operating Officer, PayPal. source
