Leaked: Nokia 10 to Come with 5 Cameras (Penta-camera setup)
Ever since HMD Global took over Nokia and embraced Android OS, the brand has come alive again and eagerly doing everything possible to compete with the heavyweights in the business at the moment.
While some smartphone makers are still rolling around dual and quad cameras, HMD Global is busy working on a Nokia device that could feature 5 cameras or even more.
But on a serious note, do you think 5 cameras are necessary in a single smartphone? What are you gonna do with it?
The rumor making rounds at the moment has it that the smartphone will be called Nokia 10 and could be released before 2018 runs out.
In fact, a reliable source who is close to Foxconn’s business plans revealed that the company is working with HMD Global on the project.
According to the source, the Nokia phone with the penta-lens will have a circular camera housing similar to that of the Lumia 1020. There will be seven holes arranged within the circle. Five of those holes will each hold a sensor while the other two will house the LED flash. For now, there are no details as to how the sensors will work.
Judging from the above description, the phone could have 6 or 7 cameras in total if we count a single or dual camera system in front too.
As you would expect, the phone is also tipped to come with full-screen design commonly termed 18:9
Take the information here with a pinch of salt as it’s not yet officially confirmed.
