Tecno Mobile has taken its latest smartphone to the Indian market this year 2018 with immediate effect. The Chinese mobile phone company has just launched a new phone dubbed Tecno Camon i. It’s similar to the Camon CM which was launched in Nigeria (Africa) few weeks ago.

Nigeria has been Tecno’s largest market base for many years but the company in recent time has decided to spread to other parts of the world following the footsteps of Samsung, Xiaomi, Apple etc. Last year Tevno hit the European market and sometime touched Dubai. Now they are giving Indians more of their devices.

The Camon i will compete with the likes of Micromax Canvas Infinity and the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4.

The device is the company’s first less bezels/taller display design. The “Camon i” is basically the same as the Tecno Camon CM just that this veriant is exclusive to India.

Features of Tecno Camon I

Looking at the features and specs of this phone, it has a 5.65-inch HD+ (720×1440 pixels) Full View display (the first from Tecno) and an aspect ratio of 18:9, and is powered by an unknown 1.3 GHz quad-core processor coupled with 3 GB RAM and 32 GB of expandable internal storage.

Knowing that the Camon series of Tecno phones focuses more on Camera, it’s not a surprise seeing four cameras on this phone. There is a 13-megapixel rear camera with quad-LED flash, f/2.0 aperture,  a 5P lens, while the front gets a similar 13-megapixel sensor with LED flash, screen flash, f/2.0 aperture, and a 5P lens.

In terms of software and connectivity, the Camon I runs  HiOS v3.2.0 based on Android 7.0 Nougat, and comes with support for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, 4G LTE, and dual SIM slot setup. The device measures  152.2×71.1×7.75mm, Weighs 172 grams and comes fitted with a non-removable 3,050 mAh battery.

Availability ans Price

The cell phone will be available in Black, Champagne Gold, and City Blue color options. It will start hitting the market in February and early buyers will be getting 100 days replacement warranty, one-time screen replacement, and one-month extended warranty over and above the 12 month warranty period. As for the price? It will cost you around $130.
