Apply to Girlcode Academy

Twice a year, the Academy program opens applications to find a new class of young women who are passionate about technology and are interested in web development. Though we target young women aged 20 to 30, we encourage anyone over 18 years old to apply.

*I strongly recommend this for every lady. Our generation is going digital, join the coding train and stand out among the crowd of job seekers. Also what you need to learn to be a developer is very much, so the earlier you start small small the better for tomorrow. Good luck*

About Girl Code Initiative

Girlcode Academy
The GirlCode academy platform is focused on human capital development of talented and aspiring young female Nigerians who have passion for acquiring technical skills in areas of software and web application develoment. The project is positioned to encourage the participation of aspiring young women who are willing to delve into the male dominated field of programming and application development

We partner with NGOs to provide disadvantaged girls and young women access to digital literacy skills, technology and vocational training.

We work specifically with non-government organisations and charities providing care for girls and women who have been trafficked, exploited or who are vulnerable to exploitation.

All of our partners provide ongoing and holistic support to girls and women rescued from exploitative and vulnerable situations.

This allows us to provide coding curriculum as an ‘add-on’ to a girl’s existing education within the safety, structure and support of her existing support program.
