HTC updated the One M8 to Android 6.0 marshmallow a month ago, the Mashmallow for the lates HTC one now trending out. This new roll out on M9 will bring all Android Marshmallow goodies including
· Fingerprint APIs,
· Android Pay
· New app permission
· New battery
· Performance enhancement
This update was announced by the vice president product management of HTC, Mo Versi in an official tweet which mentioned the arrical of Android 6.0.1 on HTC One A9 and Android 6.0 for HTC One A9
The update will arrive in 2 different parts. At first HTC One M9 users will get a 99 MB update which will prepare the phone for Marshmallow. Afterwards there will be an update of 1.2 GB for Android

It may be noted that this update is rolling out to the users owning an unlocked version of HTC One M9. Users with a carrier branded HTC One M9 will have to wait for this update.
